Welcome, let’s talk fun! Competitive type? Just looking for a good time? Gifting? Whatever has brought you here, I believe you’ll find your solution below! Let’s talk about some of the top-ranking outdoor games and ideas you can find anywhere.
It’s time to focus on outdoor fun for kids. Let’s face it, kids can have limitless energy, so why don’t we try to wear them out having some fun? Let’s take that boundless energy and put it to good use with some outdoor games! Folks, in my opinion, we are all spending way too much time indoors, in fact, according to the Washington Times, 25 percent of people spend ALL DAY indoors! Oh my, why!? Many believe that indoor air is safer than outdoor, but this just isn’t always the case. In fact, existing studies from the US Environmental Protection Agency found indoor air can be two to five times more polluted than indoor air…yikes! It’s simply time to come together and get outdoors for some fun time!!!
From slip-n-slides to water balloons to super soakers, let’s explore some various ways to beat the heat and get cooled down while having fun!
Slip-n-slides, a crowd favorite for sure! Wikipedia reports this one’s been around since 1961. For all the history one could ever want on the topic, click here. As for me, I like to jump right to the fun. It’s truly hard to beat a fun afternoon on a slip and slide. I’m pretty confident most of us have memories of some sort of slip n slide contraption we enjoyed as a kid…maybe even recently as an adult!? These top slip n slides are much more advanced than what I recall as a kid, but can surely provide all the fun one can handle.
16 feet of pure joy with this one. Hold tight while getting a nice waterfall as you approach the mini pool at the end. A real soaker this one is and right from the beginning! Set this durable slide up at home, the lake, or just about anywhere you can hook up a water hose or faucet! Kids and parents alike enjoy the splash pool at the end which can help prevent sliding into the ground…nice!
Another 16-foot slide, but this one has 3 lanes! It has a double wall of water flowing as you slip down the slide. In addition, 3 inflatable boogie boards are included! Great reviews, durable, new Hydro-Glide tech built in; this one is ready for fun!
Want to get in there with the kids?! If so, you may want to consider this one. This one is a whopping 75′ long by 12′ wide…awesome(also has 30′ and 50′ options)! Secure to the ground with included hardware, hook up the hose, and have hours of fun!
- Tiny Balier Easy Quick Fill Balloons – rave reviews on these friends. They fill quickly and even self-seal! Quickly fill up these beauties and get back in the fight! Sling them, toss them, launch them…just have fun! 12 sets equaling 440 total included with this batch.
- Wet Products Biodegradable Water Balloons – yep, biodegradable; that’s nice!
This one actual shoots at 243 miles per hour!!! Cool, but likely not safe. Let’s skip past this one.
- Nerf Super Soaker Barracuda
Double barrel action here, that’s what I’m talking about. Get a jump on the competition by preparing yourself with this beauty.
- Nerf Super Soaker Breach Blast
Safety note: It’s recommended to only use water in these guns to prevent bacterial growth which could make one sick.
Capture the Flag:
Gather your teams, plant your flags, and go! For this game, let’s find a large, open area to play. Divide into two teams, desinate your home base zone, then plant your flag. Once the “whistle” is blown, each team will attempt to grab the other teams flag and bring it back to their zone safely. Once you’ve gotten the other teams flag, the chase is on to tag and freeze you. If tagged, you are out and the flag is returned to its home base again. However, if you make it with the flag back to your teams home base, your team wins! If this one doesn’t wear them out, nothing will! For the more adventurous spirit, play it in the dark with this glow version!
